PORTLAND, Oregon — It may have taken awhile, but we finally saw the morning clouds burn of late Saturday afternoon around the metro area, and into the southern part of the valley.
Looking into the second half of the weekend, we’ll see our next system arrive by late morning as our next rain maker starts to move in. While we can expect to see drier conditions by late Sunday afternoon, there will be another system that moves in for Monday. We can expect to see a wet start to the work week, with the heaviest amount of rain for late Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
The Oregon Cascades will see the snow levels drop below pass levels for Sunday down to about 3,500 with up to two inches possible.
Thanksgiving this year is going to be dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine. The dry weather will be sticking around for a good part of the holiday weekend too.
